April 2012

Spring is here.  Yay!  We couldn't be happier for the warmer weather, blooming flowers and longer days.

Easton started a class called Two Times the Fun (it's the same one Kyla took at that age).  He really seems to like it.  He was a little apprehensive at first and needed the teacher to hold him and bring him into the room, but by the end of class, we can't get him to leave.  He's learning turn-taking, waiting in line, how to sit (still) for circle time and how to share.  He's not so good at waiting in line or sharing though.  Hopefully he'll have those mastered in the next month or so.

Speaking of sharing, if Easton wants something and doesn't get it right away, he will hit or pull hair.  He is very good at both.  He has quite a grip and when he pulls on your hair, he almost always takes a handful with him.  We know this is just a phase, but it's hard to watch.  Other than removing him from the situation and putting him  in a so-called time out, there isn't much we can do to prevent this from happening.  This too shall pass, but it just doesn't seem to be passing quick enough for any of us.

Easton is doing really well with his speech therapist.  He listens well to her instructions and requests and does his best to imitate her words and sounds.  She is hoping it will all just click for him soon.  He's definitely making progress and saying more and more each week.  It's still primarily simple words and sounds, but progress is progress.

There were many Easter activities this month.  We started with an egg hunt with Grace and Lilly, then we attended the neighborhood egg hunt at the park and ended it all on Easter Sunday with our own egg and basket hunting.  The kids had a lot of fun looking for everything.  Easton needed some help from his big sister, and she was more than willing to lend a hand.  The bunny left them both plenty of candy and some fun new toys and books.  We got them a sandbox.  So far, that's been a big hit.  It's placed in the only "shady" part of our backyard, so they can get out and play in the sand whenever they want.

We felt brave this Easter and made a reservation for everyone at the Melting Pot.  They had an egg hunt there and pictures with a "bunny."  Bunny is in parenthesis because it was a rather sadistic looking bunny.  If you remember the clown from the movie, "It," it's almost fair to say this was the bunny equivalent of that.  Kyla didn't seem to notice and Easter gave him a high five, so that was good.  More importantly, the kids sat through the various courses and did a pretty good job with the fondue.  We may have to make this a family tradition.

Kyla had her last teacher conference of pre-school this month!  Her teacher, Miss Pam, said she is doing great and has opened up quite a bit from the beginning of the year.  She said Kyla is very smart and should do well in Kindergarten.  There are still some things we'll need to work on with her over the summer, but she will be Kindergarten-bound come August.  That is bitter sweet.

Kyla's pre-school hosts a parents' night out every month and we decided to take advantage of that.  We dropped the kids off for over three hours while we enjoyed some quieter time to ourselves.  We enjoyed a yummy meal, ran an errand and did a few things at home.  The kids did great and had a lot of fun, so we will try it again next month.

Kyla scored her first soccer goal of the season. "Go, Kyla!"  Hopefully there are more goals to come before the season wraps up next month.  She is learning how to get into the mix of things without being overly aggressive, so that is good to see.  Other times, she watches from the outsides of the herd.  She has a lot more to learn, and we hope she'll stick with it and play twice a year for the next several years.

Last, but certainly not least, Kyla earned another swim ribbon this month.  She's now cruising along in the fourth tier, so to speak.  She'll now be working on flipping from her back to front and vice versa, side breathing and diving.  She seems to be over any fears or reservations she had, so we are thankful for that.  She's also had the same teacher, Miss Amanda, for several months, and that probably has a lot to do with her comfort level.  We enjoy watching her learn and grow more confident in the water.

There's not much else to report this month.  Easter activities, speech therapy, school and soccer seemed to be the highlights of the month.  Please check back next month.  There will be lots to talk about and share with all of you.  Take care and know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers.

Thursday

March 2012

Happy March!  We started the month off with a children's expo at the Wildlife Experience.  It was crazy busy. There were lines everywhere.  Easton's listening skills are only as good as he wants them to be, so it was tough keeping track of him in the mob.  The kids got to pick out some "cool" free stuff though and see some large animals.  Kyla thought they were going to come to life, so she stayed as far away from them as possible.

Since Easter is fast approaching, the kids went in for hair cuts and pictures.  Kyla had her four-and-a-half year old picture taken also.  Can you believe she is that age already?  We sure can't.

Hair cuts went well.  Wish the same could be said for pictures.  Easton was only happy if he could hold onto one of the large styrofoam eggs.  Of course, Mom did not want the egg in the picture, but a happy kid is better than a tantrum-throwing one.  So as you can see at the top of this post, the egg and Easton won.

We (and I primarily mean I) decided to get a full size bed for Kyla this month.  Naturally her current bedroom set got listed on Craigslist.  As is always the case when you hope something takes a few weeks to sell, it sold within a few days.  A couple came and liked it, so they asked to take it with them.  That meant dumping all of her stuff out and putting everything into bins. No big deal, right?  WRONG!  Most stores no longer sell full size bedroom sets, so she lived out of bins for several weeks.  Her poor room looked so empty with only her bed left in there.

On Saturday, the 10th, the Lone Tree Arts Center hosted an event called the Fancy Nancy Extravaganza.  Tickets sold out for the even quickly back in December.  However, thanks to Craigslist once again, we were able to get last minute tickets to meet the author of all the Fancy Nancy books, Jane O'Conner.  You could get anything autographed, have your picture taken with the author, walk a little cat walk and pose for a picture, make a very fancy princess crown, eat delicious cupcakes and watch a performance of the first Fancy Nancy book acted out by a children's theater group.  Jane O'Conner also read her latest story to everyone before the show started.  It was a super cute event!  Kyla had a blast, and it's quite possible Mom enjoyed it all even more.

Yay for daylight savings time.  We can hardly wait for the sun to rise at 5-something every morning.  It really is rude to have to change the clocks.  It fools the kids into thinking they can get out of bed when it's not late enough.  Oh how we much prefer "falling back" rather than "springing forward."

It's early yet, but we registered Kyla for T-ball this summer.  Now that she is four, she can finally play.  We are hoping all the practice in the backyard pays off.  That is probably just wishful thinking, but it will sure be fun to see how she does; if she even likes it.  There was a spot on the form to request playing with a friend, so we are hoping her and Grace will get to be on the same team.  Odds are, Kyla will enjoy herself and the game more if she has a friend to share the experience with this summer.

March Madness was a bit maddening again this year.  Kyla's team was in the top spot for a while.  Apparently making picks based on team mascots is not as futile as one would think.  No one in our family won, but we look forward to next year's madness.  Easton will hopefully be able to make picks next year too.  With all four of us picking, maybe the odds will be in our favor.

Kyla had two birthday parties to attend this month.  One was a classmate from pre-school and the other a friend from swimming lessons.  She had a lot of fun at both parties.

Easton started his official speech therapy visits this month.  His pathologist is named Theresa. She comes to our house for about an hour every Wednesday morning.  So far, things are going well.  He is saying at least one new word for her every time.  Easton really seems to like her. He really enjoys doing puzzles with her.  We hope he warms up quickly.  The more comfortable he is, the more he's bound to say.

Scott started a new job this month.  He is now working for Bank of the West.  He put in ten great years with US Bank, but thought it was time for a change in positions and companies.  I honestly do not know what his new job title is, but that is probably for the best.  If I were to explain it, I'm sure I'd make it sound much less important than it actually is.  That being said, I will let him tell you personally.  That way, he'll make it sound way more important than it is.  :-)  But truthfully, without a business card handy, I do not know what his new position is even called.  Score one for the wife.

Scott went to LA for five days for training.  Those five days happened to fall during the week of Kyla's spring break, so it was a bit quieter around the house.

We wrapped the month up by attending Easter Fun Day at church again.  Kyla loves going there.  Easton tried his hand at all of the activities, but basically just made up his own version of stuff.  Translated, that meant he was quite the handful.  Thankfully, the bag of popcorn kept him occupied so Kyla could partake in the fun activities and games.

We cannot forget the visit to see the Easter Bunny at US Toy that same day.  The kids each received a goodie bag and a balloon animal.  Easton wanted nothing to do with the Easter bunnies this year, but he did at least give them a high-five.

To all of you reading this, "Happy Spring and God Bless."

Friday

February 2012

Easton went for his evaluation this month with Child Find. They had a speech and occupational therapist on hand to evaluate him. He passed the OT with flying colors. Thankfully. Unfortunately, we can't say the same for the speech part. With only ten or so words/sounds in his repertoire, he is lagging a bit. On the flip side though, he qualifies for therapy and will have weekly, one-hour sessions until he turns three. If he is all caught up by then, he will done. Otherwise, we will have to find a private therapist to work with him. For now, we will enjoy the free services provided to us through the county.

The kids were able to do something fun together this month. They attended a Dr. Seuss class with each other at the rec center. Grace and Lilly also went. The teacher mentioned Easton only wanted to sit at the table for snack time. He wasn't too interested in the crafts or coloring. That sounds like our Little Man. He'll sit still for sweets any day of the week.

Kyla caught her first "eye cold" (as she liked to call it) this month. She woke up early one Saturday morning with one of her eyes crusted shut. Poor thing. Daddy had a mild case of pink eye too, a week and a half prior. We aren't sure if she caught it from him or from school? If only we knew where our pesky germs came from. One of life's great mysteries.

We celebrated the Hallmark holiday known as Valentine's Day as a family. We let Kyla pick the restaurant. She picked Famous Dave's. Shocker! It's either there, Buffalo Wild Wings or No No's Cafe. We hadn't been there since her birthday dinner, so she was itching to see Wilbur The Pig and have some mac n cheese. Even Easton was excited to see Wilbur. Given his reaction to Santa, we didn't think he'd want anything to do with him. We were wrong. He lit up like a Christmas tree whenever Wilbur came by. He gave him high five's and smiled for a picture too. It was a nice night out.

Kyla had her Valentine party at school. I was one of the parents in charge of planning it, so that was fun. We had heart shaped sandwiches, made a heart shaped sun catcher and played a game. It was a good time.

Easton spent the entire month with a runny nose. He was so sick of having his nose wiped, he'd run if you went anywhere near the Kleenex box. Not that we blamed him. No nose should be wiped that often.

There was a Scholastic book fair at Kyla's pre-school one weekend. There was a family night one evening, so I took Kyla to pick out a book for her and Easton. Clifford the Red Dog was there. Kyla was not interested in him at all. She wouldn't even give him a high five. There was a guessing contest - a jar filled with Skittles. We put in two guesses and won! Kyla's guess (my guess too) was two over and mine was four under. We won the jar of Skittles. Yay!

Even though there was an extra day this month, we don't have too much to report. We miss Grandpa John every day and talk about him a lot. Of course, talking about him leads to more and more discussions about death and Heaven. Kyla does not want anyone else to die, even if they get to go to Heaven. She also wishes Great Grandpa John would have drank more orange juice (because that is what you drink when you are sick). She can make a darker subject humorous. Great Grandpa John, if you can read this, orange juice is the cure.

We are looking forward to next month. We are all ready for spring to arrive with it's warmer weather. We miss all of you dearly.

Monday

January 2012

Happy New Year! It's hard to believe another year has come and gone already.
Even though time moves way to quickly, we are excited to see what 2012 has in store for us

We started the month off by celebrating Easton's second birthday. He had a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party at Little Monkey Bizness. He was surrounded by a few of his best friends. Okay, at this point in his young life, they are his only friends, but still...Grace, Lilly, Ace, Siena, Frannie, Vinnie and Kyla were all there to play with him and wish him the happiest second birthday ever.

He got a lot of fun presents. Many of them light up and talk or make noise. His favorite kind of toys. He even tried to open a few before becoming completely engrossed in the loudest and flashiest toy. Easton is easy to please; for now.

We took Easton out for a birthday lunch to Red Robin. He seemed to really like the food and atmosphere. All of us did. It was an opportunity to indulge in some very savory foods that we try to avoid most days of the week.

We also registered Kyla for Kindergarten the first week of the month. It's bitter sweet. Our baby girl should not be old enough to attend school in the fall. Maybe we should keep her home another year? After all, she associates Kindergarten with shots, rather than turning five. That's a good enough reason not to send her, right? That will keep her from growing up too fast.

Easton had his two year check up on the 11th. He really is a record breaker when it comes to charting his growth. He is at the 50% for height, so at least he's in the middle. His weight and head circumference are another story. Those numbers are both less than 3%. Thankfully he is staying on his curve, and that is all that matters.

Easton is right on track for motor skills, but he is currently lacking in the verbal department. We are going to have him evaluated by a team of specialists to see if he qualifies for speech therapy. With only ten words or so, we are sure he will qualify. We are praying it's only a delay and a matter of time before he realizes how much his world will open up by using words and speaking.

On the 12th, Grandma/Great Grandma Louise turned 100! What a milestone for her. We left for Michigan that day to visit family and celebrate her. It was Great Grandma's first time meeting Easton. Blind Grammy's first time too. Naturally, they both fell in love with him. Even though he wouldn't let them get too close.

Grandma had the most wonderful birthday party on the 14th. Over 30 family members were able to make the trip to Bad Axe to celebrate with us. It was a mini family reunion. It was great to see so many familiar and loving faces in one place (and not be at a funeral). Grandma had a permanent smile on her face seeing everyone and having the chance to catch up. Her short term memory is not what it used to be, but she will be talking about her party and seeing everyone for many months.

Pizza and cake were served. Kyla sat next to Great Grandma. She chatted her ear off and reminded her, on more than one occasion, to chew her food good so she wouldn't choke. It was very humorous.

We got to spend some time visiting with Blind Grammy, Aunt Karen, Uncle Shawn and Kristen. We all stayed at the same hotel. Kyla was in heaven. For whatever reason(s), she thinks it's cool and fun to sleep in a hotel. Plus, she was able to ride the elevator down, many times, to visit Uncle Shawn and Aunt Karen in their room. She suckered them both into hunting for monsters. She loves visiting with family members because they have more energy to play with her. Mom and Dad are tuckered out before breakfast ends most days.

Kyla was invited again this year to a classmates party. His name is Mitchell, and he had his party at (regular) Monkey Bizness. Kyla had a lot of fun. Primarily because her best buddy, Grace, was there also. Anything and everything is more fun with Gracie.

Christ Lutheran Pre-School had their annual western lunch at the end of the month. Kyla enjoyed dressing up as a cowgirl. Even more, she enjoyed the hot dog lunch. "The story teller and dancing were fun too!"

Life has it's ups and downs. This month, we truly experienced both of those. On the 24th, we lost a beloved member of our family. Grandpa/Great Grandpa John left this earth to join our heavenly father. Battling cancer, we knew his time with us was being cut short. Nonetheless, we were not quite ready to see him go. He was a great man who meant a great deal to many. He will be missed by more than just his immediate and extended families. Words truly cannot express the sadness and sorrow we are all feeling, but we can find comfort in the wonderful memories we have of Grandpa. May his light shine even brighter from heaven.

Wednesday

December 2011

Ryder went and saw the cardiologist. He has to take two pills every day, but hopefully they will slow the progression down so he can enjoy a few more years with us. He's a special dog and loved by all of us.

On the 4th, we went and had breakfast with Santa at the golf course. It was great this year. The Kruglet family was there with us, they had someone taking professional pictures of the family and the kids with Santa and the food was pretty good too. It was the best breakfast with Santa to date. Easton still wanted nothing to do with Santa, so Mommy held him. Maybe next year he will like Santa and want to tell him all about the numerous things he'd like for Christmas?

We went out to dinner one night with Neil and Heidi for the Melting Pot's double date night. As usual, the food was great and the company even better. We may just have to make the date night an annual thing.

Our church held a holiday shop again this year. Heidi and I took Grace and Kyla so they could pick out presents for everyone. The selections were amusing, but everything they picked out was a big hit with both of our families. Can't wait to see what happens next year. Lilliana and Easton should be able to join us, making it that much more fun and special.

Seeing Santa at the mall and having breakfast with him wasn't quite enough for Kyla. She also had to visit him at a candy store and at Safe Splash (where she takes her swim lessons). She's let every one of Santa's helpers know she wants gingerbread men and women and snowmen, so hopefully Santa and his elves are able to fulfill her request. Due to Easton's lack of enthusiasm for Santa, he stayed home with Dad.

On the 12th, Kyla had her school Christmas program. It was a quick one, but super cute. Kyla was not as animated this year, as she was last time, but it was still fun to watch.

On the 14th, Kyla had her preschool Christmas party. That was a lot of fun for her and her classmates. They had pizza, played some fun games, made gorgeous glittery ornaments and participated in a book exchange.

On the 15th, Kyla's dance class had a mini recital for the last 15 minutes of class. That was cute to watch as well. The girls did a little dance to Rudolph. What a fun way to start off the Christmas break.

We purchased an elf on the shelf this year. He's a boy elf and we named him Buddy. Kyla thinks he's the coolest thing since sliced bread. He reports everything back to Santa, so we shall see if he is motivation enough to be good during the holiday season to avoid (or get off of) the naughty list.

We celebrated Christmas a few days early again this year so we could make the trek back to Minnesota. We went out to dinner to the Olive Garden and when we came back, Santa had visited. He left a lot of goodies for both Kyla and Easton. Kyla was in seventh heaven with a new present to open every few minutes. We lost Easton after the first one. It made noise and talked to him, so we had to open the rest of his presents. It was a great family Christmas. And as Kyla will tell you, "Jesus is the reason for the season." She still needs presents, but Jesus is what Christmas is all about.

We received a foot of snow the day we planned to leave for Minnesota, so we had to wait an extra day before making the drive out there. Once we got past Fort Morgan, there was no snow to be found...anywhere. It was a mild and brown Christmas. We weren't complaining though. No snow makes the drive much easier.

Christmas day was spent out on the farm with Grandma, Grandpa, aunts, uncles and many cousins. It was great to have all of us together this year. We enjoyed some much needed family time and made some new and lasting memories.

The rest of the time was spent with immediate family. We celebrated our own Christmas together and just hung out. Again, it was nice to just relax and spend time with loved ones.

2011 was a pretty good year for us. Looking back, we have so many reasons to be appreciative and thankful for what we have and all of you that are a part of our lives. We never know what the future holds, but we look to 2012 with open minds and hearts. Life has ups and downs, so we will focus on the good rather than the bad. We will continue to make lasting memories with friends and family, while we work on being the best parents and partners we can for each other.

We wish you all a joyous new year. May 2012 be all you can make it to be and more.

November 2011

We started the month off by celebrating Lilliana's second birthday. She had a colorful party at her house. On top of the good food and company, there was a bounce house in her basement. The kids had a blast running from the playroom to the bounce house and back again. Thank you to Lilly and the Kruglet's for allowing us to be a part of such a special day.

Speaking of birthdays, Scott and I both celebrated ours this month as well. Scott no longer fits into the 29-34 bracket. But hey, you are as old as you feel, right!?! That is what I keep telling myself year after year, anyway.

We had Kyla's first parent-teacher conference. Her teacher, Miss Pam, said she is doing well and making progress towards starting Kindergarten next year. Miss Pam also mentioned Kyla can be a bit stubborn. Apparently, when asked to count, Kyla only felt the need to count to six. We hope this isn't the start of what's to come down the road for her and school. On the up side, when asked which letters she recognized and knew, she pointed to 'M' and said "M is for Michigan!" That's my girl. Go Blue!!

Easton got his first haircut on the 15th. He did NOT like that. Not one little bit. He cried as if you were ripping him limb from limb. Poor little guy. He sure looked handsome afterwards though.

To further torture the kids, I took them for Christmas pictures and to see Santa at the mall. Pictures were not easy, as Easton wanted to play with all of the decorations. Thankfully, we got one (and only one) good one the kids together.

Kyla was so excited to visit Santa Claus. She couldn't wait to tell him about the 100's of things she wants for Christmas. Mainly, she wants lots of gingerbread men and women and lots of snowmen. Sounds like an easy enough request for Santa and his helpers at the North Pole.

Easton cried the whole time. He didn't care for Santa at all. In Santa's defense, he is still a Mama's boy. I bought a picture anyway. Kyla's as happy as a lark, while Easton is as terrified as a mouse being chased by a cat. It will make a good keepsake. Not to mention a fun picture to get out when Easton starts dating. In his 20's, of course.

We celebrated Thanksgiving here at home. It was a small family gathering, but nice nonetheless. Nothing beats a day worth of cooking to eat and be done in five to ten minutes. Thankfully, there was a weekends worth of leftovers for all of us. That's got to be the second best part of the holiday.

Ryder had an incident after Thanksgiving that scared us good. We ended up talking him to the animal hospital one night to be evaluated. His heart murmur has gotten worse and is causing heart failure. We have to see a cardiologist soon to get a better idea of how his heart is working and what kinds of medication to put him on. Hopefully, the medication will help and give us all a few more years with him.

We look forward to next month and everything the Christmas season will bring to us and all of you. God Bless.

Monday

October 2011

Fall is always a favorite time around here for all of us. There's so much to do and see. We just love it!

Kyla wrapped up soccer this month. She seemed to enjoy herself and playing. She scored a goal at her first game and assisted with many more the following weeks. She's pretty brave. She has no trouble getting in the mix to steal the ball from other players. Once she gets the ball down near her goal, someone on her team usually steals it to score. Thankfully, the assist is just as important. Of course, we are pretty sure Kyla does not feel the same. She'd much rather score herself. Maybe in the spring she'll be able to steal the ball and kick it down the field for a goal?

Easton is his usual self. He is still the biggest mess maker ever! His favorites including throwing every toy out of their bin onto the floor, throwing as many toys will fit behind the baby gate downstairs (so when you do open it, there's a massive flood of toys spilling around you), taking trash out of the bathroom basket and throwing whatever is in there into the toilet and yanking books off of bookshelves. Making big messes brings him a lot of joy.

Kyla's class went over to church again this year to pick a pumpkin from their "patch." Easton and Mommy met her there, as well as Lilliana and Heidi. Naturally, we had to take some pictures. It's not a fun trip out if we don't at least try. :-) Easton doesn't care to actually look at the camera much anymore, but we did get a few of him smiling in other directions.

Kyla's pre-school has a butterbraid fundraiser every year. We took an afternoon and went to sell some to Daddy's co-workers. Kyla enjoyed giving her sales pitch. Who knows? Maybe she will find a job in a related field down the road?

Mommy won a free lunch to the Melting Pot of Littleton at the beginning of the month, so Daddy and I enjoyed a child-free lunch at a very yummy place during fall break. We don't often get out to lunch without the kids, so it was a nice treat.

During fall break, Mommy took the kids to a new indoor play place called Treehouse Discovery. Grace, Lilly and their Nana met us there for a couple of hours. The kids loved it and played together very well. We will have to go back soon. It's always nice to get out of the house and have them make a mess elsewhere.

Due to Kyla's soccer game, we had to find a pumpkin patch near home this year. We had a weekly deal come in for a place called, Family Pumpkins, and decided to go there. It was said to have jump houses, pumpkins and a kid friendly straw maze. Grace, Lilly and Nana met up with there too. However, it really should not have been called "family" anything. When we finally found it, on the side of a busy road heading into Denver, there was no pumpkin patch. Just some pumpkins laying around in an enclosed fenced in area. And the straw maze was part of a haunted maze. The kids had to decide whether or not they were brave enough to walk on the outside of the maze to get to the bounce houses. Kyla did go through while clinging to Daddy, but Grace wanted nothing to do with it. We could hear her crying all the way back near the entrance. Poor thing. Kyla and Lilly jumped a few minutes and decided they wanted to get their faces painted. It was such an ordeal, we all decided to meet up at the church pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. Grace will probably not want to meet us anywhere again.

On Saturday before Halloween, we all met up with Heidi and the girls at Whole Foods for their Fall Harvest activities. The kids were able to get a few goodies by trick or treating around the store. They too, also had face painting, so the girls waited patiently for their turns.

After Whole Foods, we made our annual pilgrimage with the Kruglet's to Trick or Treat Street at the Eastridge Recreation Center. Boy was it busy. We arrived during the last hour, and the line ran the entire length of the rec center. It took about a half hour before we actually made it downstairs for the treats. As usual, the girls had a blast. Mommy did Easton's work while he rode in the stroller and ate suckers. They got a ton of candy again this year. It's a fun little outing. We are making some great memories with great friends also.

The month finished out with Kyla's pre-school Halloween party and trick-or-treating. That morning, her school had their Halloween parade. It was so windy, the only shot of Kyla has massive amounts of hair blowing in her face. We are hoping maybe Heidi got a better shot.
Her party at school included lunch, a craft and a game. The kids had a blast. It was a great start for the holiday.

That night, we met up with the Kruglet's to go trick or treating. It was a very nice evening. We took the kids around Glengate Loop, and boy did they make out like bandits. The girls did great. They took turns ringing doorbells and knocking. Well, they did their best to take turns. It was usually a race with the first one there getting to knock or ring the bell. Kyla was very polite. She said trick or treat every time, as well as thank you. She also wished them a Happy Halloween. Apparently she gets extra nice when you give her candy. Easton was a trooper. He spent half of his time going up to houses with Mommy or Daddy. After that, he rode in the wagon eating suckers again. He sure was sticky by the time we got back home.

It was a great month for everyone! We look forward to November. Until then...
