Happy Easter. Happy Spring. Happy, Happy Everything!
We are super excited for Spring to get here. Although we did not really have a bad winter, and never really saw too much snow, we are ready for warmer weather and play time outdoors.
Easton had a birthday party to go to this month. One of his buddies from pre-school turned three, so he joined him and some other classmates to celebrate at Little Monkey Bizness. It was a Cars themed party, and Easton loved it. On top of play time, pizza and cake, he also got to take a balloon home. Some times it really is the simple things in life that bring the greatest joys.
This month also included Kyla's second teacher conference of the year. Her teacher, Mrs. Hartley, said she is doing great and has made a ton of progress since the start of the year. In addition to learning to read some words, her handwriting has really improved too. Her drawings are getting more detailed, she is raising her hand to answer questions, she's participating in discussions and enjoys celebrating her work with other students and staff members. We could not be more proud of her ourselves. She really is one smart cookie and does a great job of thinking outside of the proverbial box.
Soccer started back up this month for Kyla. She's only had a few practices thus far because cold weather and snow seem to affect games way too much yet. Hopefully April will be a bit warmer and kinder to the fields and practice/game times.
Kyla and Mom flew to Michigan to visit family this month. We left and it was 50 degrees. We arrived to temps less than 30 and came home to a foot of snow. It's as if the bad weather followed us around. Despite the cold temps, we had a great time. Kyla got to pick out some new stuffed animals from Great Grandma Louise's room, so that was fun. It made being in the nursing home a little less troublesome. (Her word, not mine).
Kyla also got to spend some great quality time with (Blind) Grammy. They sang songs, danced, baked, collected icicles to melt, watched movies and had a sleep over together. As if that was not enough fun, the Easter Bunny visited Grammy's place while we were there, so Kyla had eggs and goodies to find. After that, she made everyone hid and find eggs with her.
The bunny was super nice and left stuff for Easton too. We brought his stuff home and left it out for the Easter Bunny to hide with his basket.
More fun was to be had in Michigan! We rented a hotel room, so Kyla went swimming one night and played in the hot tub. She also got to meet some of Mom's friends and stay up super late. One night, she pooped out mid-sentence. The time change just never seems to be in our favor when we fly two time zones away.
Thankfully, Kyla got to spend lunch time with her favorite Uncle Shawn and Auntie Karen. Auntie Karen came prepared with gifts, and Uncle Shawn brought his best pony ride and tickle talons. Jodi brought her a bag filled with stuff too, so she was in seventh heaven. She can't say thank you enough to everyone who brought presents and spent some time with her.
Hopefully we can all go back soon. It would be great to visit during the summer and go to the beach.
While we were in Michigan, Scott thought he'd try to potty train Easton. Keep in mind, Easton has yet to pee or poop on the potty. EVER! Well, the potty training lasted about two hours before Easton wore Scott down. Easton was visibly upset, while Scott was crying on the inside. All was right with the world again once a diaper was put back on. We shall try again soon though. He has to learn how to go on the potty by September or he won't be allowed to go to pre-school. Here's to hoping it clicks one night so Easton can wake up and "Git er done!"
Our church had Easter fun day again this year, so Heidi and the girls met us there. Per the usual, they had a bounce house, an egg hunt, balloon animals, a cookie walk, crafts, live bunnies to pet and hold, games, tattoos and nail painting. Everyone seemed to have a good time. It's a fun and stress-free way to celebrate the holiday.
Easter Sunday was a fun day. The kids were anxious to get up and find their eggs and baskets. Easton found his eggs pretty quickly, but Kyla needed some help. I guess the bunny hid hers a little too well. However, Kyla found her basket first, and Easton needed help with his. He seemed quite content with just his eggs. :-)
We decided to take the kids to the Melting Pot again this Easter. This year we went for dinner so the kids didn't have an egg hunt to participate in, but the bunny was still there and the hostesses were handing out eggs to all the kids.
As always, the food was super yummy. Kyla did a great job eating! Wish we could say the same for Easton. He had a few bites of bread and ate nothing again until the chocolate came. Since he didn't eat, he was only able to have two little desserts, but he sure made them count. He had chocolate fondue everywhere.
Our neighborhood had an egg hunt on the Saturday before Easter. The kids had a great time doing it this year. There were not too many kids signed up for the 3-5 year old group, so they got a lot more eggs this time around. Plus, Kyla found the golden egg, so she got an extra special treat. She received a goodie bag filled with more candy, some toys and a gift card to Dairy Queen. She was beyond thrilled. It's a good thing she knew what to look for and looked ahead of time so she could snatch that golden egg up right away.
As much fun as all the Easter related activities are, we have to remember Jesus really is the reason for the season. Without him, nothing would be possible. We give thanks to God on this day, and every day, for the many blessings and wonderful people in our lives.

Kyla wrapped up her Kitchen Chemistry class this month. It was a six-week science class held after school on Tuesday's. They made soda fizz, butter, whipped cream, bread and popped corn. It was educational and tasty.
Speaking of science, Kyla did her first ever science fair project. The project was titled "What is the most common color of M&M?" We emailed the Mars company to get a list of the color breakdowns for various types of M&M's and counted many different bags to see if we, too, found that blue was the most popular color.
IHop had free pancakes this month with a donation to the Shriner's, so we took advantage of that. Nothing beats almost-free pancakes before school.
Both kids had Valentine's Day parties at school. There were games, crafts and food at both. Easton and Kyla enjoyed themselves immensely. They also really enjoyed putting their Valentines together and passing them out. Kyla made heart shaped crayons for everyone, and Easton put bubble sticks in a goodie bag. And to top the festivities off, Mom and Dad treated the kids to one of their favorite meals - pizza!
Kyla celebrated her 100th day of kindergarten this month too. The teacher asked the class to dress as if they were 100 years old. We feel Kyla really looked the part. Hard to believe 100 school days have come and gone already. Life really needs a pause button.
For the first time in months, we were not super busy for February. It was nice to only have a few things to do before and after school.
For the most part, the kids really enjoy playing with each other. Kyla is demonstrating some great leadership skills which will hopefully help her later in life. "Easton get the plates. Easton empty the ball bin. Easton come in the basement with me." As you can see in the above mentioned statements, Kyla is exerting as much leadership as possible, whenever possible. At this age, Easton is quite the trooper. He usually listens and does what Kyla asks of him. Unless he is asked to pick up. Easton wants nothing to do with that.
That said, Easton is to pick-up time what oil is to water. The two just do not mesh. Sometimes you can make a came out of picking up and he'll do a little, but Kyla gets the brunt of it these days. Naturally, she is less than thrilled to have to pick up the her messes and the bulk of Easton's. It's a daily lesson in learning life isn't always fair.

Happy New Year! We hope this year finds you all happy, healthy and wise(er).
I must inform you all of my new year resolution. It may very well help to explain this, and future, posts. :-) I am attempting to go digital. What does that mean? Well, I have given up buying a planner and writing in it. It is my goal to keep track of everything with the calendar on my phone and iPad. Further translation...I am currently storing most details in my head because I forget to get them in my phone or iPad. Since I am primarily relying on my brain to remember important dates and times, this blog may be awfully short most months.
First, we have to wish (Great) Grandma Irene, (Aunt) Michelle, Easton, (Great) Grandma Louise and Dad (Grandpa) a happy birthday! What a fun birthday month in our family. (Great) Grandma Louise turned 101 on the 12th. What an accomplishment! Her short term memory is not great, but she can take a phone call and carry on a decent conversation. If only we could all be that lucky to see 101 and remember faces, voices and memories from over a century.
Easton had his last speech therapy visit with Miss Theresa at the start of the month. She will be missed. We took some pictures and had some fun playing new games. Although Easton is not putting together as many three and four-word sentences as she'd like to hear, she feels he will be all caught up and on track by the time he starts school. We still haven't decided what the next step will be for him. Children's hour-long speech therapy sessions cost four arms and two legs, so it may make sense to hire someone to work with him in the home again. Per Miss Theresa's request though, we are going to see what kind of progress he makes on his own over the next month or so and then decide what is the best way to move ahead.
Easton's third birthday fell on a Monday this year. Since Kyla had school and swimming lessons in the evening, we had to cram a lot of birthday fun into a couple of hours. Easton wanted to go play games at Chuck E. Cheese, so we met Daddy there for an hour or so of fun. He loves ripping tickets off, even before the game spits them all out. Half the time he rips them in half, he is so excited. Kyla's favorite thing to do is turn her tickets in for a toy. They each picked a snake and one other "treat."
After games, Easton wanted mac-n-cheese for dinner. Because Kyla had to get to her swim lessons, we decided to pick a place on the way towards swimming so we could have more time to celebrate. That being said, we ended up at Chili's.
As soon as Kyla got home, we had birthday cupcakes and opened presents. Easton's big gift was a balance bike. He loved everything. We couldn't get presents out of the packaging fast enough for him.
It's hard to believe our little man is three already. He can be cute and cuddly one minute and be wearing an evil grin on his face the next. He loves to play with and copy most anything his big sister does. He still lashes out when is he is mad or upset. On top of hitting, he know likes to fling stuff off of tables and around the room when he doesn't get his way. Hopefully it is just because he does not have the words to explain how he feels. We can definitely say he has a flair for the dramatic! He is our Easee-Man and we love him dearly and unconditionally.
Easton was supposed to have a birthday party with some friends on the 12th at a place called the Little Gym, but an hour before the party, we were down to only three friends coming to join us. Many kids couldn't come because the Bronco's were in the play-offs or because they had gotten sick, so we hoped to reschedule for another Saturday. However, that did not work out as planned. The gym wouldn't allow us to switch without paying even more money. So, we decided to have his friends meet us at McDonald's one morning to play and enjoy a happy meal on us.
Kyla officially became a Daisy this month. Her troop had what is called an investiture ceremony to celebrate the occasion. The girls got their smocks, said the pledge and enjoyed some yummy cupcakes. Now they are working on selling cookies to earn money for their troop. If anyone reading this wants any cookies, please let us know. ;)
Kyla has her first loose tooth. It is just wiggly enough to move ever so slightly, which is very interesting because her other tooth has already poked through. Grandma made things even more exciting for Kyla by making her a pillow to put her teeth in when they do fall out. She plays with the tooth every day hoping it will come loose. She cannot wait to see what the tooth fairy brings her. Since the tooth fairy actually comes into her room (whereas Santa only goes downstairs), she is hoping to catch a glimpse of her so she can tell all her friends what she looks like.
Now that the Christmas holiday and birthday are behind us, we are looking forward to celebrating Valentine's Day with our friends and family. We barely get past one before Kyla is ready to decorate and celebrate the next. Bless her little heart, she loves every holiday! She sure makes them more fun and exciting than they used to be.

We started our month off by having breakfast with Santa at Arrowhead Golf Course. It's become a fun family tradition for us - four years now. This year was great! There was maybe 20 people at the noon session, the food was hot and ready to go and there were no waiting times or lines. The best part was Easton not being afraid of Santa Claus this year. Both him and Kyla were quick to hop up on his lap and tell him exactly what they wanted.
Kyla joined Girl Scouts at the start of the school year. At this level, the girls are called Daisies. She has only had three monthly meetings thus far, but she loves it! Two of her good buddies from her kindergarten class are in her troop, so she really likes that. She's made some new friends too, which is great. This month, her troop went to the Claire Bridge nursing home to sing Christmas carols with some of the residents and pass out a holiday ornaments. The residents really seemed to enjoy having the girls there, so that was perfect. It's never too young to teach the importance of doing things for others and bringing a smile to a stranger's face.
Easton will soon be finished with his free in-home speech therapy. After that, we will have to decide whether to let nature takes it course or get him additional help through another in-home provider or through services offered by Children's Hospital. At this point, we are taking it one day at a time. He loves Miss Theresa. She will be hard to replace if we decide to go that route.
Both Easton and Kyla had school holiday parties. Easton decorated many sugar cookies. In turn, he also ate many sugar cookies. His teacher, Miss Karen, read Pete the Cat at the end. It was apparent it's a favorite among the kids because they were all yelling out the words and singing along with Pete.
For Kyla's party, they made snowmen out of donuts and decorated them with various pieces of candy. They also made a snowman keepsake ornament and played an ice fishing game. It was a fast and crazy hour, and the kids had a blast! The only thing more fun than the party was the fact they all knew winter break started that same day.
Santa came to visit our house on the 20th. Once again, we had to get word to him that we were leaving for Minnesota to celebrate Christmas with the family. Santa has much to finish up the week of Christmas, but he is always able to accommodate our requests to visit a bit earlier. This year he brought Kyla a new bike and Easton a scooter. He also brought some Disney toys and video games for his two favorite Anderson children.
We left on the 22nd to drive to Grandma's house for Christmas. When we left CO, it was 40-some degrees outside. When we got to the farm, it was below zero. Needless to say, we didn't venture far from the house. Grandma was super good to us this year. She showed us how to make lefse and her Christmas cookies. The lefse making took some practice, but by the end, we were rolling out circles instead of oblong shapes. Hopefully it doesn't mean she will stop making lefse for us? We need more time before we can consider ourselves in the same league as her.
We celebrated with the entire "Anderson" clan on Christmas day. It's a fun-filled day and goes by way too fast. It's always great to share smiles, hugs and time with everyone though. If only for a few hours, a day a year.
We spent the rest of the time in the cities. Again, trying to stay warm. It is funny when 20 feels like a heat wave. Yes, we aren't used to it being that cold for too long out here. (Of course, when we came home, it was just as cold here and took many days before warming back up to more reasonable temps).
Kyla (and Easton too though he won't admit to it because he wants everyone to know he's a complete Mama's boy) had so much fun spending time with the family. We finally had time to drive up to Michelle and Tim's house this year. Two years in the making, but we finally got there this trip.
We must take a moment here in this blog to remember those who were not with us this Christmas. Grandpa John and Auntie Marie, we think of you nearly every day. Christmas is not the same, but we thank you both for the memories you made with us at this time of year and every other day we spent together. You will be in our hearts forever.
We look forward to 2013 and making more lasting memories with our family and friends.
Kyla finished up yet another season of soccer. By the end, she was doing great. She did not have any goals this time around, but she had a ton of assists and learned to be a bit more aggressive within the group and with the ball. Her coach is thinking of getting some girls together over the winter to play in an indoor facility for two months. As for now, she is looking forward to that and getting even better!
Kyla earned another ribbon from swimming this month. She has four more to earn before she'll be considered a pro. Way to go kiddo. Mom and Dad are super proud of you.
Kyla was picked to be the BIP (Berry Important Person) this month at school too. She enjoyed being the line leader and helping the teacher with special side jobs and opportunities.
Easton is doing even better this month with speech therapy. He is using two word phrases consistently and will repeat (to the best of his abilities) everything you tell him to say. His therapist is tickled pink over his progress this past month. If all goes well, he'll be saying full sentences on a regular basis real soon. He has two months left with Miss Theresa, so we are hoping he's as close to caught up by January.
A friend from school took Kyla to the movies to see Wreck-it-Ralph. She liked the movie, but enjoyed the popcorn and pop the most. She also got to ride in a booster seat, so that was pretty cool. And speaking of booster seats, we finally found one for Kyla that fit her weight. Most boosters on the market require you be at least 40 pounds before using them, and the one she has is built for 30 pounds and up. She is thrilled to be riding like a big kid.
Lilly turned three this month, so the kids enjoyed celebrating her birthday at Treehouse Discovery. Scott and I also had birthdays. We enjoyed a cake of our choosing and some family time. Scott's birthday fell on a Saturday, so that was nice. We had our babysitter come over while we went to dinner and a movie.
Thanksgiving as usual was just the four of us. We got to try out the turkey fryer this year. We were excited because the fryer freed up some much needed space in the oven for yummy side dishes. Everything was tasty and provided us with leftovers for days! We had, and have, much to be thankful for this year. Some of those things include a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes, good health, family and some wonderful friends. Anything more is a blessing from God.

We started the month off with a group play date for Easton's pre-school class at a local park. Easton pretty much played alone or with his big sister, but it was fun to have a get together for the little ones. Hopefully as the months progress, he'll make some friends.
Easton seems to really enjoy pre-school. He runs into the room every Friday. He has no qualms or hesitations about going, which makes Mom and Daddy super happy. He always has a good report at the end of the day. If only we could say the same for home (all the time).
Easton is really starting to take off with his speech and vocabulary. He is doing fantastic! He enjoys saying "Kyla" and singing "EIEIO." He will also do his very best to repeat two and three word sentences for you. He still struggles with some letters and sounds, but he's making great progress.
Kyla had her first parent-teacher conference this month. She is doing great! She's made a lot of progress herself over the past two months. She's getting better at writing letters, writing mini sentences to describe pictures she's drawn and reading words. We could not be more proud of her. She is one smart cookie!
Kyla had a dentist visit this month. She was very leery of the hygienist. She would only let her do a brief exam and quick polish. And both of those were done on Mom's lap. Next time she goes, she will have to sit in the chair by herself. Here's to hoping that goes as planned. Kyla asked the assistant to check if she had any loose teeth. Apparently, she is anxious for money and to see if she can catch the tooth fairy in the act.
We squeezed in as many Halloween activities as possible this year. We started the fun off by visiting Ace Hardware. They were giving out free pumpkins to each child. They had tables set up so you could paint and glitter your pumpkin till your heart's content. They also had donuts available. We met Heidi and the girls there, so the kids were able to start the fun off with their best buds.
After Ace, we headed over to Eastridge Rec Center for our annual Trick or Treat street. The line was out the door and around the building, as is pretty much the case every year, but it moved fast once we were inside. The kids did not get as much candy this year. Naturally, that only bothered Mom and Dad. It meant we had less chocolate to dig out of their stash for ourselves. :-)
Kyla's school also had a fall festival one night. You could trick or treat around the school, stop in the cafeteria for some pizza and refreshments, partake in a scavenger hunt, check out the mad scientist room, listen to stories in the library, do a candy walk, get your picture taken in a photo booth and enjoy live shows. We lucked out and were able to do just about everything. Kyla had no interest in the photo booth, but the rest was fun. Kyla was dressed just like her principal. They were both smarty pants!
The parents in Easton's class arranged a little party for the kiddos at the clubhouse in one of the neighborhoods. It was fun, and of course, revolved around Halloween. There were games, snacks, activities, dancing and more. The kids really had a great time.
Kyla went to the rec center with Grace and Lilly one day to make ghoulish goodies for Halloween too. So as you can see, the Halloween fun lasted days. We ended the fun with Kyla's class party and Trick or Treating with the Kruglet family. When all was said and done, the kids had enough candy to open a small shop. We kept a bag for ourselves and donated the rest to the soldiers.
Scott's softball season ended this month. Wish they finished in the top three, but that wasn't quite the case. As we've said several times now, "there's always next year."
In an attempt to finally try and fix my TMJ, I bit the bullet and started orthodontic treatment. Yikes! Braces haven't changed much over the past decade or two. I was sort of hopping I wouldn't notice them and they'd hardly hurt. Neither seem to be the case, and I only have braces on the top teeth right now. How fast can time fly by over the next year or two or three?

Holy smokes! How did it get to be September already? When did summer come and go?
We started the month off by celebrating Labor Day with some friends from Kyla's pres-school. Her friend, Cooper, and his family invited us over for a BBQ. We went over for several hours, and everyone had a great time. The food was delicious and the company was fantastic.
Kyla turned five on the sixth, so that was a big day at our house. We started the morning off by going to US Toy for a free birthday balloon and treat. After that, we met up with the Kruglet's for some fast fun at the mansion for Highlands Ranch days. It's an almost-annual thing we do with our friends. There's a petting zoo, hay ride, 4H animals and local dancers. We were limited with time this year, as the girls both had to get to Kindergarten, but it was still a lot of fun. We then had to rush home to eat a quick lunch and pack up some goodie bags for school. Since Kyla's birthday fell on a Thursday this year, she also had dance to attend. We brought in a little treat for everyone there too.
By the time Daddy got home, we were all ready for dinner. Kyla picked Red Robin because she wanted another free balloon and some mac-n-cheese. The staff came and sang her "Happy Birthday," and she received a free ice cream sundae.
The birthday fun did not stop there. We then came home and opened presents. Kyla loved everything. She received a brand new scooter, a Rapunzel bath toy, some books, oodles of art supplies and projects and anything and everything related to Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax." It was a great day for her. She had a ton of fun celebrating turning five all over town.
On Friday, the seventh, Kyla had her birthday party. This year she wanted to have her party at Michael's craft store. Including Easton, Kyla had 14 friends come and join her for an evening of tie-dying, crafting, pizza and cookie cake. Kyla had a super time, and it seemed her friends did too. Some of them had never done tie-dye before, so that was a fun first for many, including her. Thanks to the helper in charge, and our good friends, the Kruglet's, the party was a huge success.
Kyla picked owls as her birthday theme this year. She picked owls for her bedding and room decor back in March, so she thought it would be fun to carry that theme over into her birthday this year. Owls are becoming pretty popular. Wonder how long she will be interested in them?
Kyla had three hair cuts this month. Yes, three. We took advantage of JC Penny's free back to school hair cut the first time. It didn't go over too well. Her hair was totally uneven. So, we called and they agreed to have someone else take a look and trim it up right. Needless to say, that didn't work out to her advantage either. One side was way shorter than the other. For the third hair cut, we took her to our usual place. When all was said and done, she probably had close to half her hair cut off. It was closer to her elbows before the first hair cut. By the first week of the month, it was just below her shoulders. Here's to hoping her hair grows fast over the next several months.
Easton is doing great. He started school this month. He goes to Christ Lutheran Pre-School every Friday for three hours. His teachers are Miss Karen and Miss Judy, and he seems to love them. Unlike his sister, he does not even need a hug from Mom before heading in to the room. He runs in with no hesitation whatsoever and finds something to play with while waiting for class to start. He has yet to even shed a tear. What a trooper! We hope he is this happy and interested in school when he goes to Kindergarten.
Easton still sees his speech therapist every week. Miss Theresa is pleased with how much his vocabulary has grown over the past few months. Each week, he seems to know more words and is will to try to say more sounds. Right now, we are working on "B" and "P" sounds. They just don't come as easily to him. As much as his vocab has grown, he is still having difficulty stringing two and three words together for small sentences. If you ask him to say, "blue ball," he will usually pick just one word. Be it "blue" or "ball." We are trying to help him out by simplifying things. Instead of asking him what a cow says, we are trying to get him to say "cow moo" and so on. Hopefully it will all just click in his head one day.
Kyla is getting more aggressive with soccer. She is learning to get in the huddle, rather than running behind the ball and group. She is also doing a great job of kicking the ball away from the other team. She has yet to score a goal this season, but hopefully running with the pack and getting a foot on the ball will help her to score one or two before the season wraps up.
Redstone Elementary had their first big fund raiser this month. Each child was asked to raise money for a move-a-thon. Kyla raised $125 thanks to some family members. For earning so much, she was able to have a water balloon fight with the principal and assistant principal. She also received a bendy pencil, a flying disc and a pair of light-up sun glasses.
Because she turned five, Kyla had to get the last series of booster shots. She knew they were coming and had been dreading them for months. They went as well as expected. She cried terribly when the nurse came in and tried her best to wiggle free from our grip. There were four of us holding on to her to make sure she didn't move too much. Thankfully the crying ended after a few minutes, and all was well with the world because she knew we were taking her to Target to pick out a treat for being as brave as possible.
Regular Granny came to visit for several days. Kyla was super excited to have a visitor. Grandma and her put 100 piece puzzle together. That was the most fun. As our fun outing this year, we decided to take Grandma to Arts on Fire to paint a piece of pottery. Kyla picked an owl, Easton picked a football, Daddy picked a Viking bobble head, Grandma picked a Christmas platter and I picked a Halloween candy bowl. It was a lot of fun for everyone and they all turned out great. We can't wait until she comes back. We are all hoping Grandpa can come for a visit next time too.
Kyla had her first-ever field trip. All the kindergartners went to Millers Farm. They took a bus there, so that was just as much fun for Kyla as the trip itself. The kids learned about growing produce and got to pick out some large vegetables, along with a pumpkin, to bring home. Kyla had a great time and really enjoyed the group she was assigned to. She is looking forward to more field trips in the future.
We took the kids to the Highlands Ranch Oktoberfest. It was a nice fall evening and the town center was filled with tons of people. The adults enjoyed some great beer and the kids had a blast watching the performers and dancing in the street while the band played some popular tunes. Given the opportunity, the kids would have danced the night away. Unfortunately, the lines were so long for food, we had to leave to grab a late dinner elsewhere. Kyla, yet again, was afraid to see the fireworks, so we had to leave before they started. Maybe next year she'll be up to watching some?? We have no idea if Easton likes them yet or not since Sissy seems to find every reason under the sun not to go.
I arranged a tour with one of the local fire stations for the end of the month. The Kruglet and Urdiales families met us there. The kids were able to learn more about fighting fires, what's on the trucks and how the station is run. There were many photo opportunities and the kids had fun running around the truck and checking out the living quarters. Kyla fell off the front of the fire truck and got caught on the license plate, so she was literally hanging by the seat of her pants. It was rather humorous for the adults and firemen. They were kind enough to give us some electric tape to help hold the seat of her pants together until we were able to get home and change clothes.
We had Directv out to install their new media center. We can now record up to five shows at a time. We are also able to watch any of the shows downstairs or in the bedroom. Sometimes, it really is the little things in life.
